Discussing Observations

These students are observing the results of their fungi experiment.  Usually the bread circle that was rubbed on dusty places has a lot of fungi while the clean bread circle has none or very little (although at this point many students are finding lots of mold on both pieces of bread).  They are recording their observations with drawings and words.
In a subsequent class, They'll  ponder some tough questions:  From where do their fungi get energy?  What do fungi have in common with other organisms?  What are some needs of fungi?  This lesson is also an introduction to decomposers.
