Avast me hardies!  These students are applying some of their skills from Pumpkin Planets to play "the pirate game."  Most of the colored tacks represent treasure, but the red tacks are booby traps.  The students "buried" their treasure by placing the tacks on their maps where latitude lines cross longitude lines. They look for their partner's treasure by naming latitude and longitude coordinates.
