These students are reading a story that has a lot of geographic impossibilities.  They must use their atlases to determine what is possible and what isn't. They need to be able to find the appropriate maps for different situations in the story.  Sometimes they may need to turn to the index to locate a place.  Or they may need the table of contents.  They're learning to apply concepts that were introduced during Pumpkin Planets
