      These students are learning about scientific method.  They are trying to determine how Dr. Cosmo (the student in each class wearing the lab coat) is able to "read" minds.  The class picks objects in the room while Dr. Cosmo waits in the hallway.  Dr. Cosmo is able to determine which objects the class picked when he or she is  given a series of choices.
     In order to figure out the trick, the students must observe carefully, formulate hypotheses, and then test their hypotheses.  Sometimes they find imaginative ways to test their hypotheses! No one solved the mystery today but they're all getting closer as their hypotheses prove to be false.
